The NRMA Insurance Essendon office was designed in an old WW2 aircraft component factory, based at the Essendon airport. A building of historical significance, pearshop developed a graphics package that captured the building’s heritage and location to both the Essendon and Tullarmarine airports in Melbourne.

The fitout was awarded the Property Council of Australia Award for innovation and Excellence for Office Fitouts. In winning, Essendon Fields beat 17 finalists from across Australia. The key attributes that were highlighted as contributing to the success was the link between the heritage of the building and utilising transportation themes whilst creating a vibrant and inspiring workspace.
